We asked our design friend and loyal customer, Dan, what he been doing at home during these strange times.
Who are you?
Hi, I’m Daniel. A brand and digital designer currently residing in Bondi.
What is your best time killer?
I’m trying to make the most of the time inside by working on a few side projects. One of my housemates, Brenton, is a chef, so my housemates and I have been working on a food blog together - @saucy_sundays.
Otherwise the coastal walk is always nice to get some fresh air and exercise. Feeling pretty lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world right now.
What are you watching?
Youtube clips of Gordon Ramsay’s best insults. He’s hilarious.
What are you eating?
Brenton is cooking some delicious dishes for our blog. We cook every Sunday and everyone in the house has lunch (and a few bottles of wine) together. It’s a nice way to end the week. My favourite so far would be the Spaghetti with Mussels & Radicchio.
What are you drinking?
Natural wine, Native Drops Artisan Cellar always has a nice selection. I’m especially into Pet Nat at the moment.
What are you listening to?
I’m pretty into house music so the Defected virtual festival mixes are on repeat.
What you can’t live without at the moment?
What are you looking forward to?
Definitely travelling. I had a few trips planned that I’ll have to reschedule. Still holding onto the slight hope of going snowboarding this winter.
Recently we were selected by JETRO (Japanese external Trade organisation) to visit the prefecture of Nara, Japan. While it was a very short trip, we met many talented makers, visited significant cultural landmarks, hung out with the deer and fell in love with the locals. Here’s our little overview and some tips for you.
