These saké serving vessels are from the souther part of Ishigawa prefecture.
Its a particular type of pottery called - Kutaniyaki. When you aren't serving rice wine, you can double these pieces as a vase.

Our friend Kingy is based in Kyoto with her husband and baby daughter. She trawls through antique markets and hidden vintage stores in the area to find us amazing goodies.

Kingy is a photographer by trade and shoots the pieces she finds in her parent-in-law's old machiya in town.
