Scroll downThis was our first visit to Kanazawa and it did not disappoint. As we meandered through the streets we found so many great stores (which we sufficiently raided). Although our sojourn was meant to be a break, we couldn't resist picking up some of these beautiful vases, each one with its own unique texture and style.

This sculptural vase was one we knew we had to bring back, although practical as a vase it also just looks cool, the perfect marriage of design and function.
Story
This was our first trip to Kanazawa and while this detour was meant to be a mini 'break' we couldn't help ourselves and picked up some pieces on our travels.
We explored the famous Kenroku-en garden, went to some museums and galleries, sat in the onsen, walked the snow filled streets, ate and drank some of the best food ever, and stumbled across this cool antique store where we walked away with half their stock.
