KUOE’s 1st model, Old Smith 90-001, was inspired by antique watches of the 1960’s. With a smaller, 35 mm diameter, dome glass and ivory dial, the Old Smith model gives a unique, vintage feel associated with classic tanned watches. It was designed with a sleek, minimalist fashion to suit both men and women for any occasion.
Details:

The small size of 35mm is the texture of an antique watch. The dome glass is used to give it a unique atmosphere that cannot be obtained with flat glass, and the dial is ivory-coloured in the image of a tanned antique watch.

Quartz (battery-powered), small seconds, dome glass, water resistant for everyday life.

Case: 316L Stainless-Uses high-grade stainless steel that is also used for medical equipment.
Belt: Cowhide

About KUOE:

Uchimura, the designer and founder of the brand, went to London in 2010, to study abroad. While there he happened to enter a store that sells antique watches.

He was instantly captivated by the line-up of hand-wound wristwatches made in the 1940s and 70s, which continued to tick even after decades. After graduating from college, he worked on watches in Kyoto and accumulated as much knowledge as he could before launching his own brand in 2021.
