Working from a small studio on Gundungurra Land in the Wollondilly Shire, Melody Brunton seeks to creates works that celebrates the dynamicity of clay, attempting to capture the flux of the medium - immortalising the materials from the land into ceramic pieces.  Melody's work is also informed by her Japanese cultural roots, in tandem with the Australian context which she creates in. The Japanese sensibility of practical yet beautiful craft as expressed inSotsue Yanagi exploration of(hand-crafted art of ordinary people) is core to her practice.
