About:
Made from traditional washi paper these “Michiyuki-Tou” lanterns are designed by Rina Ono. They shine a beautiful filtered light with their low energy, AA battery powered LED. They can function as night lamps, patio lights or to bring along during midnight strolls.
Rina Ono launched her design studio named Rinao Design, in 2007. After working for a period at an architecture firm, Rina transitioned to product design in pursuance of a greater connection to the daily lives of her end users. Her organic approach to design opens many avenues of inspiration, learning as much from her collaborators and users as she does from her chosen materials.
