Join us in our Surry Hills studio for a collection of creative workshops designed to slow you down, inspire curiosity and celebrate the joy of making. From our signature candle making workshops to intimate experiences hosted by makers, artists and people we admire, each workshop is an opportunity to learn a new skill and connect with a community of like-minded people.

Candle Making Workshops 

Learn how to make your own soy candle using the techniques we use every day in our Surry Hills studio. You'll choose your fragrance from our boutique collection, pour your own candle and gain an insight into the process behind every Provider candle. 

Located in the heart of Surry Hills, our workshops at our light filled studio, just a short walk from Central Station and surrounded by some of our favourite cafés and restaurants. We'll also treat you to drinks and a cheese board to enjoy during your session as well.

Every workshop is centred around the same philosophy that guides our store: slowing down, learning through making and appreciating thoughtfully crafted objects.

Expect small groups, hands-on guidance and an intimate setting where you'll leave with both new skills, something you've created yourself and maybe even a new friend. Whether you're coming on your own, with friends or as a gift experience, everyone is welcome.

Private Workshops

If you are looking for a team event, birthday celebration, hens party or private group experience we've got you covered. Get in touch to discuss hosting a private candle making workshop with us. With a minimum of 5 (max of 12) people you can have the whole workshop to yourself. We can even bring the workshop to you for larger corporate groups! How long are the workshops?

Our candle making workshops run for approx. 2hrs.

Do I need experience? 

No, all our workshops are beginner friendly, you don't need any special skills or prior experience.

What does each workshop include?

Your candle making workshop includes all the supplies to make your candle - including a reusable Japanese ceramic cup plus you will also enjoy natural wines and a cheese board during the workshop as well

- All the materials and tools you need to craft the candle 

- Expert guidance throughout the session 

- A finished candle to take home

- Natural wines and a cheeseboard

- Plenty of time for questions and conversations

Can I book this as a gift? 

Yes, our candle making workshops are a great gift for anyone who enjoys getting creative and trying something new. Simply book as normal and email us and let us know the name and details of the person joining. 

How many people attend?

We like to keep our workshops more intimate so we have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 12 participants. 

Is there a minimum age to attend the workshop?

Our workshops are great for anyone aged 13 or above. If you are booking for someone under the age of 18 just let us know so we can arrange a non-alcoholic beverage for them. 

Can I take my cup to the store after for your famous refills?

Yes! We refill all Provider Store vessels, so after you burn your new candle you can bring it back for a candle refill again and again.

Can I book a private candle making workshop?

Yes, we offer private workshops for for groups of 5-12 people. With a private workshop you can select the date and time that works for you and we can try and make it work. Private workshops are great for Hen's parties, birthday celebration, team-bonding, Christmas parties or even just a fun thing to do with a group of friends. 

Do you host corporate workshops? 

Yes, we can host a private workshops for your team either in our studio or we can come to you office and host a workshop in your space too. Email us at hello@providerstore.com.au to learn more.
