Made in a small family run woodworking factory in Gifu that specialise in Furniture and small homewares. They use mainly hinoki to craft their goods. They not only make everything by hand but they even make the tools so they work as one with the timber.

Gifu is a city in central Japan. Gifu Castle overlooks the city from atop Mt. Kinka. A cable car connects the castle to Gifu Park at the foot of the mountain. Within the park, the Nawa Insect Museum displays thousands of butterflies and beetles. Kawaramachi Street is lined with traditional wood-latticed craft shops.
