Story

Handcrafted in Kyoto, Kinsen Kiln creates thin and light Kyō-yaki (or high-fired ceramics produced in Kyoto). We couldn’t make it out to their workshop, so instead visited them at a market they were showcasing at in Kyoto. We loved talking with them about their process, the textural thin style, and unique glazing details. It is one of our favourite parts of the trip to meet and talk with new makers, we wished we could have brought back more but trust us when we say we took as much as we possibly could.
