How to use

You will need a natural, low smoke charcoal. Binchotan is a desired type but it's hard to find. A lighter and natural fire starters.

You only need enough charcoal to cover the bottom of the Konro, anything more will cause excessive heat and flame

Light the firelighters or newspaper and let them ignite the coals. It will take the better part of 45mins to get it hot.

Use the vents to adjust heat. Open vents means more oxygen gets to the coals, which in turn means higher temperature. Binchotan lasts a long long time, but if you do need to add some, only add enough to keep the bottom of the Konro covered.

Once the coals are glowing you can start cooking.

  • Extinguish after use NOT with water. The drastic change in temperature can cause the konro to break.
  • The konro is made from ceramic, if you drop it it will break.
  • Keep out of way of children and pets
