Story
We have been visiting this maker at the markets in Kyoto for over ten years. Each piece is carved by hand from beechwood and finished with beeswax. Beechwood is used for its smooth texture, low oil content and tight grain which makes it durable and more resistant to odour.
To ensure its longevity do not put in the dishwasher, we advise to hand wash.As the wood will naturally fade over time with consistent use, you can pop some olive oil on it to bring it back to life.
