The Nippon Kodo range combines traditional Japanese techniques honed over 400 years with modern perfumery to create a range of beautifully crafted incense. Formulas and skills were inherited from the ancient texts by Juemon Takai, who was the purveyor to the emperor during the Tensho era.
It takes a long time to become a full-fledged incense craftsman; it is a skill developed over time with a lot of patience and practice.
