Story

For over 1,300 years, the Gifu Prefecture in Japan has been producing Mino ware pottery. Over generations, skilled artisans have honed the craft and become one of the most celebrated ceramics regions. Mino ware is renowned for its everyday functionality and beautiful glazing techniques. Each piece reflects the generations of craftsmanship that went into its creation.

We believe that these pieces should be used every day and not just saved for special occasions. They are dishwasher and microwave safe and will beautifully blend with your ceramics collection.

Gifu Prefecture, Japan

Gifu is a city in central Japan. Gifu Castle overlooks the city from atop Mt. Kinka. A cable car connects the castle to Gifu Park at the foot of the mountain. Within the park, the Nawa Insect Museum displays thousands of butterflies and beetles. Kawaramachi Street is lined with traditional wood-latticed craft shops.
