This combo pack includes three pairs of simply designed socks made of undyed organic cotton. The leg of each sock is 1x1 rib knitted for soft stretch, while the foot is jersey knitted for less stretch to avoid the item to be crumpled in leather shoes.

Machine Wash

Knitted with naturally colored cotton (Chamen), the brown pairs are undyed, let alone the ecru one. The grey colour is created also not by dyeing but by causing a chemical reaction on rare pale green cotton (Midorimen), while applying a plant dying method called mordanting to fix the color. The colour was born as a by-product of a study to prevent Midorimen cotton from colour fading by sunlight because the material inherently has low colour fastness to light.

About:

ROTOTO is made by our friends in Goryocho Village and the Nara Prefecture of Japan. Sock making began there over 100 years ago on a single machine brought over from the U.S.A. Continuing to make socks based on the principles of "lifetime consumables" and comfort, they blend sustainable yarns including organic cotton, silk, and linen to create the best socks you'll ever set foot in.

ROTOTO's socks can be made only with a combination of the right material, the right machine and craftsmanship. Their aim is to preserve the tradition inherited from their ancestors, while painting the future of the major producer of socks with a fresh point of view.
