Made out of natural Manila hemp fibre that is also used to make paper currency, the Washi yarn has excellent water-absorbent and moisture-wicking properties. ROTOTO always opts for recycled cotton yarn developed by a yarn company based also in Nara Prefecture. Their environment-minded product is made out of cotton waste from spinneries in Japan by re-spinning it with unique techniques.
