We found a selection of weird and wonderful animals in a little antique market in Kyoto. If there is one thing we love it's finding these small (and big) animals on our travels and adding them to unexpected places in the home. They will make you smile each time you see them.

Story:

When we set out on a sourcing trip to find products we always like to wander through back streets, explore antique and general markets and speak to the locals because you never know what you may find or where the path will take you. We love Japan because even the most unassuming and seemingly desolate street can be the home to secret treasures.

On our recent trip through Kyoto we visited antique markets, shops we discovered tucked away in backstreets and spoke to local makers to find a treasure trove of items to bring back. Each piece tells its own story, antiques and market pieces that have age and character, others that are handcrafted while some are just things we couldn’t resist from little boutiques.
