Story

A few years ago we ventured to the town of Tajimi in the Gifu prefecture, to find workshops who make ceramics. Since then we have been working with them to produce cups to make our candles in.

Ingredients & Craft

Our studio is located in Sydney's Surry Hills, it is there we pour and craft each and every one of our candles. If you have ever visited our cafe space Maido you may have seen the team in action in the specially built candle lab.

Each of our candles are designed to be used past their burn time, we craft every candle in a vessel that can be reused or refilled. Simply remove the wick, wash with hot soapy water and you can drink tea from it, or bring it back to the store for a refill.
