Hender Scheme is a name you either know or you don’t. For some the knowledge helps them decide what end of the streetwear spectrum you fall on. For most it’s an authentic reflection on the current state of fashion and consumerism.

Founded by Ryo Kashiwazaki in 2010, the brand is most know for their handmade leather reinterpretations of iconic sneaker silhouettes. Hender Scheme was established in a district renowned for its leather and traditional craftsmanship, a characteristic that is intrinsic to every piece they produce. Thorough attention to detail and masterful artistry elevates these sneakers beyond simple replications to thought provoking pieces of art. The familiarity and conversation provided the stepping-stone the brand would use to establish a platform to fashion a whole range of leather goods beyond just the recognisable sneaker silhouettes.

All made in Tokyo, Hender Scheme also produces various other leather goods from accessories, bags, socks, and homewares. If ever you find that an aspect of your outfit or room in your house could benefit from something tonal or textured, perhaps a hand-crafted leather piece is exactly what you’re missing.
