Provider Ten Year Timeline
A lot has happened over the past ten years, this is a brief glimpse of the highlights of our journey so far.
A lot has happened over the past ten years, this is a brief glimpse of the highlights of our journey so far.
Continuing on our sentimental 10 year journey, this time I thought we would talk about our little “hole in the wall”…the Surry Hills store. From finding the shop, opening and then renovating the space to turn it into the store you know today.
Creating Provider House is probably the biggest and best thing we have achieved as a brand over the last decade. It was something that started as just a dream and after many years became a reality. It has since been a second home to not only the Provider team but so many of you.
Head to Maido for a creative afternoon, hosted by Kumi, founder of slow jewellery brand Kuho Collective, and Catherine, sustainable fashion advocate behind Project.Catherine. This jewellery-making workshop will guide you through crafting a unique beaded necklace and bracelet, using recycled Japanese miyuki & Java glass beads while enjoying a matcha latte and snacks in the cosy setting of Maido Coffee, Surry Hills.
Did you know that Provider Store turns 10 next month?! 10! What an expedition it has been! While reflecting on some of the bigger things that took place over the last decade, I started to go down a bit of a rabbit hole of memories.I thought I would start sharing some of these moments with you so you can follow our journey so far. One I wanted to share was when I renovated Provider Studio, which has now become Maido.
We get asked a lot at Maido about the difference between ceremonial grade matcha and culinary grade so we put together a little run down of the differences as well as some tips on making your own matcha at home.
We got the opportunity to meet Truck Furniture founder, Tok Kise, and have a personal tour through the Truck Furniture warehouse in Osaka, where we gained a little insight into his life and Truck Furniture.
