About
The bronze glaze gives the Uzu Bronze Candle an entirely different character from its spotted counterpart. Rich, earthy and softly metallic, its finish changes throughout the day as the light moves across its surface. The dark clay body beneath subtly reveals itself around the edges, highlighting the handcrafted nature of every piece. No two vessels are exactly alike, making each candle special in its own right.
Story
For more than 1,300 years, Tajimi has been one of Japan's most celebrated ceramic regions. It's a place we return to often, inspired by the quiet dedication of makers who continue to produce beautiful objects using techniques passed down through generations. Every Uzu vessel begins its journey here before travelling to our Sydney studio to be hand-poured with our signature scents and natural soy wax.
Working with family run ceramic workshops in Tajimi, we work closely with makers to create pieces that are timeless rather than trend-driven. The bronze Uzu felt like just that. Its soft curves, tactile finish and warm metallic glaze felt like a sculptural art piece suiting both its candle form or a ceramic cup to use after your candle is done.
Ingredients & Craft
Our studio is located in Sydney's Surry Hills, it is there where we pour and craft each and every one of our candles. Every Provider candle is created with a second life in mind. Once the candle has finished burning, simply wash the vessel with warm soapy water and continue using it as a tea cup, coffee cup or small planter. Or, if you're nearby, bring it back to our Surry Hills store for a candle refill.
Complete your home fragrance ritual with our collection of Japanese incense for slower moments of reflection or room sprays when you want to refresh your space instantly. Each fragrance has been designed to complement the calm atmosphere created by our ceramic candles.
